Sneak Peak...

As promised, here is a sneak peak of the Mrs South Africa Pageant 2012 dresses that I am making:

I am currently working on dresses for the Mrs South Africa Pageant 2012. The ladies are going to look absolutely gorgeous in these creations.

The Mastermind Behind the Designs

The creative mastermind behind all designs he creates, Jose aims at ensuring that each and every woman’s dream dress becomes a reality.

Jose De Canha was educated at the North West School of Design and graduated as “Designer of the Year” in 2003. He has worked in collaboration with some of the most renowned designers in South Africa on various events such Miss South Africa, Mrs South Africa and Miss Italy South Africa to name a few.

In 2008, Jose moved back to his hometown of Klerksdorp, where he and fellow designer, Anel Botha, opened the design house ANHA-K. The “Best Matric Farewell Dress in the North West” was awarded to Jose in 2009. 2010 marked the start of Jose De Canha Couture. Designing and trading under his personal label, Jose opened his own design house- Jose De Canha Couture.

Even whilst producing many matric farewell, wedding, pageantry and cocktail dresses, Jose still finds time to give back to his community through the Cinderella Project. This project affords underprivileged girls to wear the dress of their dreams for their matric farewell night. Continuously setting the bar with his designs, Jose imparts these standards to other events as well, such as Miss Klerksdorp and Miss Jnr. Klerksdorp. Striving for greatness in his work daily, Jose continues to bring his dresses to life.

Besides being a role player in his community, Jose’s serene elegance has gained the attention of many a celebrity with the likes of Cindy Nel, Amor Vittone, Zuraida Jardine, Jacinda Louw and more.

Intending to helping women find their inner goddess through his designs, Jose will continue to share his passion for design and beauty in every dress he creates. Keep an eye on this space to see what he will design next!
